Disadvantaged Business Enterprises

The intent of the Cache Valley District (CVTD) is to purchase the highest quality of goods and services at the best possible price.

The policy of CVTD will assure that purchases of goods and services will be administered without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, religion or national origin. This policy is intended to assure all Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), the maximum opportunity to participate in contracts funded in whole, or in part, with U.S. Department of the Transportation (DOT) funds.

It is the policy of the CVTD to ensure that DBE’s, as defined in CFR Part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT-assisted contracts.

Certification into the DBE program involves completion of an application with appropriate supporting documentation, and a on site interview by a certifying entity of the Utah Unified Certification Program (UUCP). The UUCP conducts certifications for all DBE programs throughout the State of Utah. This creates one DBE directory for the State of Utah. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) provides the service for the directory and the link for the DBE directory is located below. The purpose for the UUCP is to provide for “one stop shopping” for DBE firms applying for certification in the State of Utah.
