What is CVTD’s purpose?

CVTD has a three-fold purpose: Provide access for all, be a resource for reducing congestion, be a resource for improving air quality.

Where do buses run in Cache Valley? Do they run in the whole valley?

Currently there are buses running in each city from Lewiston to Hyrum.  CVTD also partners with BRAG to provide lifeline services (life sustaining medical and shopping trips) throughout all of Cache County.  For more details click the link

Does CVTD partner with community organizations?

Yes, CVTD partners with several organizations on various projects.  Currently CVTD is partnering with Cache County on a planning effort, BRAG on a transportation voucher program, Utah State University on multiple projects, and CVTD coordinates with cities on transportation planning

Who rides CVTD most often? Certain demographics?

The largest demographic riding CVTD is the 18 to 35 year old, however, we see every each group riding CVTD.

How does CVTD provide accessibility services to community members?

CVTD provide paratransit services to persons with disabilities and the elderly through the cites from Lewiston to Hyrum.  All of CVTD’s vehicles have lifts or ramps making them easily accessible for all.  CVTD also partners with BRAG to provide a transportation voucher program

What are long term goals that the Transit District would like to accomplish?

The goals of CVTD are to provide access for all, be a resource for reducing congestion, be a resource for improving air quality. 

How much does a bus ride cost?-- How is CVTD “zero fare”?

The Board continues to support a “Zero Fare” structure because it encourages use of the systems and helps achieve the three-fold purpose of CVTD providing access for all, being a resource for reducing congestion, being a resource for improving air quality.  “Zero Fare” allows people to not have a car but have dependable transportation for employment, education, shopping etc.  The Board tasks management to operate services within the budget allocated from the local and federal funding sources.

Why should I ride buses instead of driving my car?

CVTD can provide you with a relaxing ride to your destination, allow you to work, read or relax while you ride, help reduce congestion, help improve air quality

What is more eco-friendly? Riding a bike, riding a bus, or driving my car?

Riding a bike is the most eco-friendly.  The more people that ride the bus or car pool the more eco-friendly these options are.

What is “The Loop”?

The Loop was created to help connect you with the people and places that matter most. Get to where you want to go without transferring buses. The Loop is CVTD’s bi-directional bus route that connects shopping areas on north and south Logan with downtown and USU.
